Sales Executive

The primary goal of this position is to identify and produce new client relationships for The Murray Group’s Employee Benefits practice, with an emphasis on mid to large-sized companies (100-5,000 employees). As the winning candidate, you will be supported by an extensive and established group of professionals in account management, data analytics, technology, legal and compliance, customer service, and plan administration, as you grow your own book of new clients within the firm.

  • Ability to leverage existing relationships, and create new relationships, with influencers and decision makers of mid-sized to large employers
  • Willingness to employ relevant sales techniques to turn those prospects into long-term clients of The Murray Group

  • Enthusiasm for solving complex problems with a combination of human and technological resources
  • Commitment to consistently meeting established annual goals for both retention and organic growth
  • Excellent communication, presentation, writing, and social skills
  • Exceptional abstract reasoning and analytical abilities, coupled with an ability to turn raw data into a compelling story
  • Enthusiastic representation of The Murray Group in the community as a force for good

Required Experience and Education:

  • College Degree, or equivalent job experience
  • Current Life and Disability License (or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire)
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite - specifically Word, Excel & PowerPoint
  • Ability to work respectfully with diverse populations both internally and externally
  • Commitment to on-going professional continuing education

Helpful, But Not Required:

  • Proven track record of success in a sales position including new business acquisition and existing client retention with Senior Executive relationships
  • Knowledge of health insurance industry, and related legislative and compliance issues
  • Experience in project management
